Your computer is an expensive device that for some people is the lifeline for communication or even productivity.  By following these simple Resolutions for the New Year you can keep your computer running great for years to come.

1. I resolve to check the location of my desktop to ensure proper airflow around my computer and to make sure it isn’t filled with dust which can kill the circuits inside.
2. I resolve to never put my laptop on a cloth surface which can cause lint to build up and destroy my laptop with excess heat.  I will get a laptop fan for use on my lap or the previously mentioned surfaces.
3. I resolve to keep my Anti-Virus protection up to date, allow new definitions to download when needed and allows virus scans to run uninterrupted.
4. I resolve to keep my computer up to date with the necessary updates from Windows, Java, and Adobe.  This will keep my computer safe and keep my online experience from becoming slow or spotty.
5. I resolve to keep food and drinks away from my computer.
6. I resolve to backup my personal data, pictures, music etc.  I don't want to lose these items if my computer fails.  (Contact me for a simple and inexpensive program to make this resolution a success.)
